ABOUT US
Friends of Harriman State Park, Inc. is a 501c3 organization dedicated to community projects that directly benefit Harriman State Park of Idaho. Friends of Harriman State Park was formed in the winter of 2010 after the announcement by the State of Idaho of the need to cut park funding and eventually dissolve Idaho Parks & Recreation. Upon hearing the voice of the people of Idaho, state leaders moved not to disband Idaho State Parks and Recreation but to instead implement budget cuts to the agency due to current economic hardship.
Friends of Harriman State Park, Inc. aims to preserve the historic jewel that we all know and love as Harriman State Park of Idaho. We hope to help the park continue with initiatives that lost funding and personnel by supporting it through project driven fundraising and volunteer hours. We are a fundraising and volunteer partner for HSP, and are working hand in hand with staff, and shoulder to shoulder with the community to accomplish this common goal.
